Portland-based Norris, Beggs & Simpson Cos. made some leadership changes including naming its first female CEO, Jan Robertson. She joined NBS in 1981 in an administrative position, became a partner in 1993 and has been CFO since 2005. CEO is a new position in the company. J. Clayton Hering was president of NBS Cos. as well as two divisions, NBS Financial Services and NAI Norris Beggs & Simpson. He now is chairman of the board, while longtime company partner Chris Johnson is the new president of NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson, and Ken Griggs is the new president of NBS Financial Services. Hering will be involved in strategic planning, mentoring, business development and community affairs. H. Roger Qualman is COO of NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson. Jeff Borlaug, principal and managing director of brokerage, will increase his management of Portland brokerage operations.
