Equinix plans another data center downtown

Clise Properties has entered into a joint venture with Digital Realty Trust of San Francisco to redevelop a six-story parking garage in downtown Seattle to create four floors of data center space.

The tenant will be Equinix, a data center operator based in Redwood City, Calif. The company announced yesterday that it will invest approximately $60 million to build the 51,000-square-foot data center, which is expected to open in early 2013.
