Five real estate investment trusts that operate in Washington won 2012 Investor Care Awards from NAREIT, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. The awards are for communications and reporting. Winners are Kimco, Westfield, AvalonBay Communities, Brookfield Office Properties and Ventas.
