BOMA

The Building Owners and Managers Association of Seattle/King County, CleanScapes and Seattle Public Utilities are taking applications for the 2013 Golden Dumpster Awards to reward commercial property owners for reducing solid waste, increasing recycling and composting, and educating tenants about the issue. This is the second year for the awards. Owners of properties in Seattle who are BOMA members can apply. They will be judged based on responses to an online survey about waste diversion, education and purchasing. Awards will be given in three categories: small (under 200,000 square feet); medium (200,001 square feet to 500,000 square feet); and large (over 500,000 square feet). Applications are due Aug. 1. For more information, visit: http://www.cleanscapes.com/seattle.
