Scanlan Kemper Bard

Portland-based Scanlan Kemper Bard Cos., which recently opened an office in Seattle, acquired CityCenter of CityNorth, a 628,000-square-foot mixed-use project in Phoenix that contains condos, office space, retail and nearly five acres of undeveloped land. Scanlan Kemper Bard teamed with Minnesota-based Wayzata Investment Partners LLC to complete the transaction. CityCenter was built in 2008 and has struggled. Scanlan Kemper Bard said it plans to turn the project around by improving the retail and attracting better tenants. Scanlan Kemper Bard has a $2.77 billion portfolio with 20.3 million square feet of office, industrial, retail and housing.
