Bartell Drugs turns 125 this year

Just before its 125th anniversary party, Bartell Drugs is opening its 63rd store, this one at 2518 196th St. S.W. in Lynnwood. Lance Mueller & Associates designed the store, and Abbott Construction is the general contractor. The anniversary celebration will be May 30 at the new Lynnwood store, which is Bartell's 15th in Snohomish County. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes free food, discounted or free health screens, live music and a cookout. The family-owned Seattle company was founded in 1890.
