NAIOP topic: the future of Seattle

The topic of the January NAIOP meeting is “Risks & Collaborations: A Discussion on the Future of Seattle” with the 2015 UW Runstad Fellows sharing what they learned about affordable housing, public spaces and social cohesion in three South American cities: Rio de Janeiro, Santiago and Curitiba. NAIOP said the event will examine how public and private investment can help make cities in this region healthy, affordable and livable. The event begins at 7 a.m. Jan. 20 at Four Seasons Seattle. Presenters are Joe Ferguson, principal at Lake Union Partners; Maiko Winkler-Chin, executive director of Seattle Chinatown-International District PDA; Kate Simonen and Thaisa Way of University of Washington; and two graduates from the UW Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies: Yeon Soo Lee and Andrew Hunt.
