AMLI buys site in Spring District

BELLEVUE — An entity related to AMLI Residential bought land in the Spring District from an entity related to Wright Runstad & Co. and Shorenstein Properties for $13.3 million, property records show.

King County records show AMLI purchased two parcels within the 36-acre Spring District but did not indicate the locations.

AMLI, Wright Runstad and the city of Bellevue did not respond to requests for comment.

Last year, Wright Runstad's Greg Johnson told the DJC it was putting an apartment site up for sale.

The first apartments in the Spring District are under construction. Security Properties is building 309 units in five buildings, and is planning another 280 units in three buildings.

AMLI's website says it has four apartment complexes in the area: two in South Lake Union, one in Ballard and one in Bellevue.

AMLI is working with Mortenson Development on a 41-story apartment tower that is part of Tilt 49 in Denny Triangle.
