ARCH honors Bel-Red TODs

A Regional Coalition for Housing gave its 2016 Community Recognition Award to the city of Bellevue and Sound Transit for bringing transit-oriented development and affordable housing to Bel-Red Corridor. Bellevue and Sound Transit negotiated a memorandum of understanding in 2015 that called for creating a mixed-use neighborhood around the future 130th Avenue Northeast station with housing, office space, retail and pedestrian connections. The city pledged to build a park and ride for 300 vehicles. ARCH is a partnership between King County and Eastside cities focused on affordable housing.
