Windermere Real Estate has named Brooks Burton its first chief operating officer. Burton makes the move from Ohio-based HER Realtors. Windermere CEO Geoff Wood said this will allow him and the firm's co-presidents to focus less on day-to-day operations and more on growth. The co-presidents are Wood's wife, Jill Jacobi Wood, and his brother-in-law, OB Jacobi. The company was founded by John Jacobi in 1972. Burton will be responsible for marketing, technology, professional development, legal and economics.
