Greg Smith says 60-story tower was ‘too big for us'; new plan is 28 stories

    On Second, the 1903 Marion Building — home to Metropolitan Grill — and the Melhorn Building will remain. The Metropolitan Grill is staying, with a long-term lease.

    Urban Visions has dropped its plans for 888 Tower — which was first announced as 77 stories, and then scaled back to 60 — on the full block it owns between Second and Third avenues, and Marion and Columbia streets.
