158 affordable units planned near Yesler Terrace

    Mithun will design 158 units of affordable housing on the east side of the block (in green). The west side (orange) is the separate 12th & Yesler proposal.

    Seattle Housing Authority has long planned to develop affordable housing on the half block at 1215 E. Fir St., which was until recently owned and used by King County for records storage. SHA acquired the 48,457-square-foot property in December for $7.1 million, concluding a previously announced deal. The entire block is a block east of SHA's Yesler Terrace.
