Pierce County OKs ground lease for $70M Chambers Bay golf resort

  • Construction could start as soon as this fall. The opening is slated for spring 2022.

    The resort will have a low profile to preserve views of Chambers Bay.

    The Pierce County Council on Tuesday approved a 50-year ground lease for a $70 million golf resort at Chambers Bay in University Place.
