Peak joins the U District student housing fray

  • The Atlanta-based developer is planning a 200-unit project on the site of University Christian Church, joining a number of national players drawn to the area.

    The site could be upzoned by the Seattle City Council this spring or summer.

    University Christian Church, at 4731 15th Ave N.E., announced last August that it would demolish its 91-year-old building after relocating to merge with another church in Lake City. A demolition permit was issued in January. Now the prospective buyer and developer has stepped forward: Peak Campus of Atlanta.
