LIHI gets $100K for tiny house program

By JOURNAL STAFF

SEATTLE — USA TODAY Network and the Gannett Foundation awarded “A Community Thrives” $100,000 grant to the Seattle-based Low Income Housing Institute for its tiny house program for homeless people.

In a press release, LIHI said it will use the money to build 20 tiny houses at $2,500 each and to operate villages where the houses are located.
