Few design revisions for U District Safeway

  • The seven-story, 188-unit redevelopment faces a second design meeting next week.

    The building will be the third to be developed by Fields Holdings on the same stretch of Brooklyn Avenue.

    The old Safeway at 4732 Brooklyn Ave. N.E. is bound for redevelopment, with apartments on top of a new store. The project has its second design meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N.
