Alexandria plans another tower next to Mercer Mega Block

  • The developer has filed early plans for an 11-story office or lab building at 601 Dexter Ave. N.

    In June, before last month's announced agreement to buy the Mercer Mega Block from the city for $143 million, Alexandria Real Estate Equities paid $28.5 million for the neighboring Copiers Northwest building. It's at 601 Dexter Ave. N., on the corner of Mercer Street.
