Masterworks hotel faces its second design review

No brand has been announced yet for the hotel proposed on the corner of Fifth and Union.

Directly north across the street from Rainier Square, the small former Chase Bank building has been vacant since late 2017. It sold early the following year for $12.4 million to Masterworks Development Corp., a New York-based hotel developer. The hotel plan is going by several addresses: 1405 Fifth Ave., 1409 Fifth and 414 Union St.
