SEATTLE — Owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the city of Seattle has canceled or postponed all scheduled public design review meetings through at least March 18.
(Update: As of March 19, no public meetings are scheduled through April 10.)
“The situation is evolving daily,” says the Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections on its blog. “We are actively adjusting our business practices to best serve our customers while following the current best practices to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
SDCI recommends checking for updates on its blog at http://buildingconnections.seattle.gov/.
In-person appointments with city staff are also being limited, and many workers from the department are now telecommuting from home. Some previously scheduled meetings with project applicants may be conducted via Skype.
The department is encouraging all applicants to use its Seattle Services Portal.
Separately, the city Department of Neighborhood's Historic Preservation program still plans to hold its scheduled meetings, but says they are subject to cancellation.
