SummerHill buys $12M Bel-Red site

BELLEVUE — SummerHill Apartment Communities has acquired a development site at 1600 132nd Ave. N.E., in the Bel-Red area. King County recorded the $12.3 million sale on Tuesday.

SummerHill's planned 249-unit project, designed by Runberg Architecture Group, received its design review approval from the city last week; a SEPA determination of non-significance is expected. The corner site, where a warehouse was recently removed, is steps from the future Bel-Red/130th Station. Light rail service will begin in 2023.
