LA developer nabs big Port of Tacoma property

A vacant grocery distribution center at 1525 E. D St. and related addresses has sold for $42.3 million, according to Pierce County records.
The buyer was Tacoma 1525 LLC, associated with Industrial Realty Group of Los Angeles, which often redevelops or repurposes old industrial properties. IRG's best known local project is the former Weyerhaeuser headquarters it owns in Federal Way, now dubbed Woodbridge.
