Vulcan revives dormant plan for SLU complex

The eight-story apartment building at 433 Eighth Ave. N. would have 143 units. A neighboring 28-story tower would house another 330 units.

Back in 2014-15, on a half block it owns in South Lake Union, Vulcan Real Estate was planning two new apartment buildings. Designed by Runberg Architecture Group, the high-rise and the mid-rise were to go, respectively, at 401 and 433 Eighth Ave. N. (south to north). The proposal went through one round of design review. The neighborhood was then upzoned in 2017.
