The 34-year-old Totem Lake Hotel, at 12233 N.E. Totem Lake Way in Kirkland, appears bound for demolition and redevelopment. Plus Capital Partners has filed a midrise apartment plan with 233 units, 25 of which would be affordable. There's also a secondary townhouse component with 14 units.
The one-story, 59-room hotel last traded in 1988 for $1.7 million. The almost 3.7-acre property is on a dead-end street running northeast from the Village at Totem Lake, which is undergoing a major mixed-use redevelopment. The hotel is also bounded to the south by the actual Totem Lake and its wetlands buffer, which could complicate the redevelopment plan.
