Greenwood Walgreens trades for $6M, with mixed-use project planned

The Walgreens site, like the Safeway across the street, appears bound for redevelopment.

Four years after it closed, the vacant Walgreens at 8701 Greenwood Ave. N. has sold for $6 million. King County recorded the sale last week. The buyer was 8701 Greenwood LLC, which is associated with Devinder Singh, an Eastside entrepreneur who owns a half dozen local Kiddie Academy franchise operations.
