A long-brewing apartment plan at 7730 15th Ave. N.W. began construction around December, and the four-story, 54-project is now under construction.
Belotti + McHugh is building the project for an Issaquah family ownership group. Lake Union Partners and Johnston Architects began design review for a different owner in 2015, under the old zoning. The team also includes Coughlin Porter Lundeen, civil engineer; Sider and Byers, mechanical engineer; Sound Earth Strategies, environmental; AWA Electrical Consultants; and Karen Kiest Landscape Architects.
About 27 structured parking spaces and 3,200 square feet of commercial are planned. The bike room will have 15 stalls. Total project size, including the parking and roof deck, is about 54,000 square feet.
Prior tenant Wonderland Gear Exchange moved to Fremont last year, before the old retail/commercial buildings were removed.
The midblock property sold for $3 million in late 2018 with most but not all permits in place.
