SEATTLE —The QFC at 8530 15th Ave. N.W. in Crown Hill closed in 2009. It was followed by Value Village, which closed in late 2019. The longtime family owner of the 1.8-acre property then put it up for lease.
Now Metropolitan Market and architect Cushing Terrell have filed plans to renovate the 32-year-old building for a new store. It has 32,810 square feet. No general contractor is mentioned. The early plan was filed in November, with a nominal value of $4.5 million.
