Foreclosure sale for Rainier Valley project with 69 units

The site is tucked between Willie’s Taste of Soul and Berean Church of God in Christ.

For about three years, Build Urban and Skidmore Janette have been planning a six-story, 69-unit apartment project at 3421 Rainier Ave. S. The project passed through design review, but doesn't yet have final permits. Build Urban acquired the midblock site in 2017 for $800,000. It's three blocks east of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South, and about a nine-minute walk north to Mount Baker Station.
