197 affordable units set for Rainier Beach

This view looks roughly east at the project, which will face the new Polaris at Rainier Beach; both are a few steps east of Safeway.

A Rainier Beach development site at 9367 Rainier Ave. S. sold last fall for a bit over $1.8 million. The buyer was an LLC related to Bode, which is planning a new six-story, 197-unit affordable housing project. The proposal, by Bode's in-house team, has its first design review on May 18.
