Tukwila JCPenney sells for $16.5M

TUKWILA — The JCPenney store at Westfield Southcenter has sold for a little over $16.5 million, according to King County records.

The buyer of record, CTL Propco I LLC, is a post-bankruptcy vehicle for the retailer's same management — now operating under an ownership consortium of Simon Property Group and Brookfield Capital Partners. So the store has changed owners, not hands.
