Tiny lot? No problem for planned 22 Capitol Hill units

Even the smallest lots on Capitol Hill are attracting developers. One example is a 2,400-square-feet corner, on an alley, at 1014 E. John St. That's a stone's throw east of Capitol Hill Station and the Broadway commercial strip. The property traded early this year for nearly $1.6 million. Now Atelier Drome Architecture and STS Construction are behind the plan for a six-story, 22-unit apartment building. It'll replace an old five-plex.
