80 Capitol Hill units could replace restaurant complex

By BRIAN MILLER
Real Estate Editor

Once home to the bakery La Panzanella, a corner development site at 1314 E. Union St. is on the market. Now prospective buyer Euclid Development has filed a seven-story, 80-unit apartment plan. Board & Vellum prepared the early proposal.

The Capitol Hill corner, at 14th Avenue, is now home to 10 Degrees, Bar Sue and Tacos de la Noche — some of which may be closed owing to the pandemic. The corner has 11,664 square feet, and is zoned up to 75 feet. It last traded for $409,000 in 1994 to Ciro Pasciuto, who earlier founded and later sold the bakery. The building dates to 1963, and will eventually be removed. (Editor's note: This story has been updated. Oola Tasting Room and Union Seattle have moved.)
