Trent and Rush to break ground tomorrow on 368 Tacoma units

The developer says that roof decks will have views of Commencement Bay, Mount Rainier and downtown Tacoma.

Trent Development and general contractor Rush Cos. will break ground Wednesday on a Tacoma apartment project now dubbed Rook. As the DJC reported in February, Trent paid $7 million for the vacant, nearly half block at 1502 Fawcett Ave. The site is in a federally tax favored Opportunity Zone, and Rook will benefit form the city's multifamily property tax exemption program.
