Trent Development and general contractor Rush Cos. will break ground Wednesday on a Tacoma apartment project now dubbed Rook. As the DJC reported in February, Trent paid $7 million for the vacant, nearly half block at 1502 Fawcett Ave. The site is in a federally tax favored Opportunity Zone, and Rook will benefit form the city's multifamily property tax exemption program.
