SLI files 125-unit plan near Roosevelt Station

SLI has plans for the site, which was once home to East West Bookshop. The bookshop now operates nearby.

Once home to East West Bookshop, the corner site at 6500 Roosevelt Ave. N.E. has long been coveted by developers, since it's only a few steps from Roosevelt Station, which opens this fall. Velmeir Cos. filed an apartment plan four years ago, but it never advanced.
