The building that was long home to the popular nightclub Neighbours went on the market in early 2019, listed at $7 million, as the DJC first reported. That was before the pandemic shuttered the venue. Late last year, Kidder Mathews took over the listing for 1509 Broadway on Capitol Hill, with the price knocked down to about $5.2 million.
A local family owns the building and ran Neighbours, which was established in 1983. Capitol Hill Seattle Blog last year reported break-ins and squatters at the vacant structure. More recently there's been an outside fundraising effort to reopen the venue.
