175 downtown Seattle units trade for $64M

When developed in 1970, Tower 801 was one of the taller buildings along that stretch of Pine — not so today.

The distinctive round Tower 801, at 801 Pine St. , has sold for $64 million, according to King County records. The seller was Gateway Pine, associated with the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), which acquired the property in 2012 for nearly $50 million.
