Nicola and Hewitt ready 28-story apartment plan

As the DJC first reported in August, Hewitt and landowner Nicola Wealth are planning to redevelop the corner at 1107 N.E. 45th St., a few steps west of U District Station. A 60-year-old office building will give way to a 28-story apartment tower. The proposal will have its first design review on Dec. 6, in a virtual presentation.
