501 West Seattle units on leisurely path through design review

Plans emerged about two years ago from the Sweeney family to redevelop its Alki Lumber properties in West Seattle. (The business will move during construction but remain in the area.) HB Management is the developer; the designers are Ankrom Moisan Architects and Northwest Studio. There are two blocks, east and west, in what locals call the West Seattle Triangle, which is south of Fauntleroy Way Southwest and west of West Seattle Stadium and its associated golf course.
