Looking north across Mercer, as if from the Gates Foundation, the property is also bounded by Taylor and Sixth.

Schnitzer West already had one office building planned on Mercer Street, on the east edge of Uptown, near South Lake Union. Now it's bought the much larger corner next door for $29 million — and thus completed an over 1.3-acre full-block assemblage. King County recorded the sale yesterday at 557 Roy St., aka the small 1950s complex known as the Seattle Business Center, which extends south to Mercer Street.
