42 units eyed near Ballard High School

SEATTLE — The owner of two small rental buildings at 1431 N.W. 65th St. is now planning to replace them with a larger apartment project.

Novion Group recently filed the 42-unit plan, with an accompanying demolition permit application. The midblock site, with about 10,000 square feet, is zoned LR3 (M). That would allow a five-story structure.
