89 Northgate affordable units ready for new round of design review

The workforce housing and childcare center are meant to complement Northaven next door.

On a site it owns a little north of Northgate Station, at 11057 Eighth Ave. N.E., Gaard Development is planning a seven-story workforce housing project. Barrientos Ryan and Third Place Design Cooperative are leading the effort, which is slated to have 89 units, plus a childcare center.
