Holland files 45-story apartment plan on former Elephant Car Wash site

The DJC first reported in late 2020 that Clise Properties would demolish the Elephant Car Wash at 616 Battery St. Its two iconic pink elephant signs were saved, and the corner at Seventh Avenue is bare slab. That had seemed a prospective step toward future sale.
