R Place to become Vietnamese place

Once part of Auto Row, the century-old building appears bound for new use.

The former home to the R Place nightclub, at 619 E. Pine St. on Capitol Hill, just sold for $2.5 million, according to King County records. The seller was a family, now based in California, that acquired the property in 1994 for $700,000.
