131 Tacoma units planned for downtown

This view looks southwest at the project from Commerce Street.

A decrepit, century-old parking garage in downtown Tacoma is slated for demolition. In its place, at 725 Broadway, the owner is proposing a 131-unit apartment project. Because it's in the historic downtown area, it's being reviewed by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission. The last review came on Feb. 9.
