Mithun plans 25-story tower at Horizon House

Horizon House, the First Hill senior community just east of Freeway Park, at 900 University St., completed its last addition in 2007. That's generally called the north tower, which has 19 stories. Older structures date to 1954.

Now Mithun and Andersen Construction are planning a new 25-story addition, dubbed the west tower. It would replace the current seven-story west wing of the complex, closest to the park.
