Bridge plans new Kent industrial project on very polluted site

Looking west, circa 1993, the Maralco smelter is in the middle, next to the BNSF tracks. West of the tracks is the former Sawdust Supply property, where owner Duke Realty is now building a speculative 261,364-square-foot logistics building.

On a polluted Kent property it doesn't yet own, Bridge Industrial is planning a new 143,500-square-foot industrial building. It would replace a smaller old warehouse at 7730 S. 202nd St., which the city calls the polluted former Maralco aluminum smelter property.
