119 U District units, old but well located, fetch nearly $33M

At University Manor, the 1923 version of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” starring Lon Chaney, clearly inspired the architectural details.

A pair of vintage University District apartment buildings has changed hands, in a 119-unit portfolio deal that closed last week for a little under $33 million. The sellers were investor groups led by Gerry Pigotti and his firm Gibraltar. The buyers were LLCs associated with the principals of Blue Fern Development.
