Bonney Lake big box sells for $9M

BONNEY LAKE, Pierce County — A vacant former Albertsons at 20025 state Route 410 E. in Bonney Lake has sold for a bit over $9.3 million, according to Pierce County records.

The seller was Albertsons (the parent to Safeway), which acquired the land in 2000 for about $2 million, then developed it. The grocer left at the end of 2012. The location is next to a Costco, which may have stolen its thunder.
