Merlone Geier expands Shoreline Place assemblage in $36M deal

Looking north, the two first retail buildings, with white roofs, are now underway. Later, apartments will begin angling northwest from Westminster (center foreground). And to the right (east) of Westminster is the separately developed Current apartments.

Merlone Geier Partners began planning what it calls Shoreline Place — to replace much of the old Aurora Square — about five years ago, when it bought the former Sears property there. The mixed-use development, spanning nearly 17 acres, could add around 1,400 apartments, 56,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and commercial space, plus various public plazas and amenities.
