Life-science plan on Eastlake looks to be Alexandria's baby

The corner site is just west of the freeway.

The lovely little cantilevered office building at 1264 Eastlake Ave. E. was landmarked this summer by its family owner, which also owns the two apartment buildings next door. Above and overlooking that assemblage is vacant land long owned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities, which already has a major presence in Eastlake. That's only likely to grow.
