Sound Transit seeks affordable TOD developer in Overlake

Two future parcels should yield a minimum of 250 affordable units.

Right next to its Overlake Village Station in Redmond, Sound Transit has about 2.8 acres — used until recently for construction staging — that it has long been designated for the development of affordable apartments. As planned, the agency last week issued a request for proposals from interested parties. Preliminary questions are due by Dec. 9.
